Luis Rodriguez

Co-Founder & CEO

Coach Lu is a professional international baseball player with a heart for developing young athletes. After relocating from New York to Wilmington, NC, he has spent more than seven years volunteering his time to mentor and coach kids. His goal is to build confidence, character, and strong fundamentals—on and off the field.

Co-Founder & COO

Over 15 years of experience in global HR, operations and organizational strategy, she brings a unique blend of business expertise and people-focused vision to EB. Franchesca is dedicated to creating welcoming environments where athletes can grow, families can connect and events become lasting memories.

Kenneth Exler

Pitching Coach

Coach Kenny is a former Division I athlete and Team USA baseball player with elite pitching experience. Beyond the field, he is an accomplished operations leader known for driving efficiency, structure, and high-performance results. As a coach, he brings discipline, strategy, and a passion for developing the next generation of athletes.

Nick Chuisano

Catching Coach

Coach Chui is a Wilmington, NC native and professional catcher with experience in the California Winter League and Empire League. A former Coastal Christian standout who went on to play college baseball at William Peace University and Southeastern CC. Nick brings elite-level catching knowledge and real-game experience to every session. With several years of coaching, he’s passionate about developing catchers and simplifying one of the toughest positions in sports.

Monty Miller

Strength & Conditioning Coach

Coach Monty holds a Master’s in Exercise Physiology and brings over 20 years of hands-on experience in athlete development. With a deep understanding of performance training, injury prevention, and long-term athletic growth, he specializes in building stronger, faster, and more resilient baseball athletes. His proven, science-based programs are designed to increase power, speed, and durability while supporting long-term health and peak on-field performance.

Matthew Roman

Infield and Physical Training Coach

Coach Matt offers pitching lessons focused on building confident, competitive pitchers. He played collegiate baseball at Lenoir Community College and Bluefield State as both a starter and reliever, finishing with a 3.50 ERA and a standout final fall (1.20 ERA). He also coached Swansboro Junior Legion, emphasizing strike-throwing, attacking hitters, and making pitching fun while building confidence on the mound.

What is Elevation Baseball Academy?

Elevation Baseball Academy is a premier indoor sports facility in Wilmington, NC, offering baseball and softball training, seasonal camps, strength & conditioning, and kids’ event rentals like birthday parties and parent’s night out programs.

What age groups do you serve?

We welcome athletes of all ages, starting as young as 4 years old for beginner camps and going up through high school players preparing for competitive play.

Do I need prior baseball experience to join?

Not at all! We offer beginner, intermediate, and advanced training programs. Kids new to the game will learn fundamentals, while experienced players can refine their skills.

What types of training do you offer?

We provide hitting, pitching, fielding, catching, and speed & agility training, plus private lessons and small group sessions tailored to your child’s skill level.

Who leads the training sessions?

Our staff includes certified coaches and former players with years of experience in youth development and competitive baseball.

How do I book lessons?

Training sessions can be booked online through our website or by calling our front desk. We recommend scheduling early to secure your preferred time.

What happens at your camps?

Camps combine skill development, drills, and fun activities. Kids learn baseball fundamentals while building teamwork, confidence, and friendships.

When do you host camps?

We offer camps year-round, Summer Camps, Winter Clinics, Spring Break Camps, and special programs like “Dugout Club” and “Little Sluggers”.

Do campers need to bring equipment?

Yes, please bring a glove, bat, helmet, and water bottle. We also recommend sneakers or turf shoes (no cleats allowed indoors). If you don’t have equipment, let us know — we have limited gear available.

Can I book a birthday party at the Academy?

Absolutely! We offer customizable party packages that include time in the batting cages, turf space for games, and a private party area for cake, food and celebration.

Do you provide decorations, food, or entertainment?

We rent the space and offer different party packages that can include sport activities, food, cake, and decorations. Families can choose the option that best fits their celebration, and our staff will help make it a fun and stress-free event

Do you offer Parent’s Night Out events?

Yes! Our Parent’s Night Out program is called Dugout Club and it combines fun baseball activities, games, and supervised play so kids stay active while parents enjoy a well-deserved night off.
